Hidden Hand

With this gimmick, can you borrow a coin from a spectator and then vanish and reproduce THAT coin, or do you have to use your own coin?

yes. the coin you vanish is the same coin that you make appear. But what's even stronger is making the coin/ring appear in your wallet or pocket. He goes over those effects and more on the dvd.
