How to boost the shock on electric touch

I bought this a year or so ago but have not had much success as the shock is very small and some hardly feel it. I have checked batteries, grounded myself and checked the floor conditions? I sometimes get a small effect but not noticeable enough, need MORE power?

Often times the problem seems to be with the type of ground being stood on, or the other connections not being solid. Electric Touch Plus offers adjustable voltage, I don't believe the original has a setting to control it. Concrete seems to provide the best ground, and make sure all the other connections are solid, with no obstruction between the contacts and your bare skin.
