Is this the same as in Derren Brown's performance?

I am 99% that this is the same deck as Derren Brown's performance with Stephen Fry. (which I know exactly how it works). My question is..
Well, how to say this without revealing the secret... (hmm, I wonder how Penn & Teller would commend this..)
Is this deck sliding well from both the left and right sides? Because I am left-handed.. xD
