Juan Pablo Real Change - Does this work with polymer bills?

I'm Australian. We have polymer notes. The newest notes have a 1 cm wide clear section that runs the width of the note, just off centre. The polymer notes make it difficult to perform money tricks and now the clear section makes it almost impossible to hide any trickery.
Will this trick work with Australian banknotes?
