Juan Tamariz’ Reshuffled, can the deck ever be shown to be made up of cards of differing values?

This is supposed to be Paul Gertner’s Unshuffled, which I already do, but this version has a kicker ending in that the entire deck changes into the selection. Before that happens, can the faces of the cards be shown and look like a normal, mixed deck? Otherwise I see no point in this version.
