Ken Dyne's Hijacked routine

Is the deck thoroughly and freely shuffled by audience members? And then is that shuffled deck used for the audience member(s) to pick every card that is ultimately revealed? Can a borrowed deck or a new unopened deck be used for the shuffling and the remainder of the routine?

Admittedly I haven't purchased the effect, but I'm pretty positive I know how the first half works, and since nobody else has answered yet, the shuffling process happens exactly as you see on the trailer and they can shuffle however they like and as long as they like before you gather them up.

For your second and third questions, I'm pretty sure the answer is more or less yes as well, but it sounds like you didn't pay very much attention to the trailer. If one who knew the method described it like that I'd call it pretty misleading, but technically true. In some cases the trick would work fine, but the method would be tipped.

Hope I helped, rewatch the trailer and wait for somebody who actually purchased the effect to chime in.

Hey there! Yes, you can freely shuffle the deck exactly how the trailer shows it and you will be using that deck for the first half of the routine. And no, you cannot use a brand new deck or a borrowed deck (at least he didn't show how but I'm pretty sure there are techniques out there that would allow you to start with a brand new deck and that would require a lot more practice). Hope this helps!
