Laced-Up

I wear a size "9" in Men's sneakers, which allows a bit of overhang on the laces,
(based on the number of eyelits)

but these gimmicked laces look MUCH longer than ones I've ever seen for Men's sneakers. Can anyone address that issue? Because I see nothing about the size of the laces in the ad copy.

The other question I have is about the fact that the laces are Black. All my sneakers have White laces so I wanted to know if the laces could be dyed White, i.el, if the trick would still work with SHORTER, WHITE laces.
