Great question! The visual rising card type effect has been around for years, long before Daniel Garcia :) Many performers have taken their own spins and added to the effect, this is one of those things. Fallen was impromptu using a borrowed deck whereas this one requires a small small gimmick. There are others like Chris Kenner's version which are impromptu but slightly more difficult. you might want to check out Totally Out of Control for more information on that :)
