Pink question

Can part of the image drawn be permanent and part change using just the supplied gimmick? ie. In the trailer you see the 3 of clubs morph into the 8 of spades. Was that done with one pen? If this gets close to exposure I understand. Mine is on its way and the ideas are swimming in my head. Just trying to wrap my head around what's doable and what isn't. Guess I'll find out soon enough. Seems like a killer concept and utility.
