Prisma Sound Lights

I own two sets of Rocco’s Prisma Lights with Sound. While all of the thumb tips light up when activated, none of the four emits any of the three sounds which they are supposed to. Can anyone please tell me if I am missing a step or not doing what I need to in order to produce the sound? Thank you. Eric.
