Recently there has been a lot on Semi-Automatic Magic (Aragon, Green, Beam, etc.). Does this material play strong?

Yes very strong as it is often very hands off. Many times when doing sleight of hand your audience may not know specifically what you are doing but they can sense you are doing something tricky. Here with the semi automatic effects it is usually not hard to do and you can be away from the props. As an example, check out DVD 2 of the Woody Aragon set and you will find some killer semi automatic magic. Obviously top guys like Dani DaOrtiz, Woody Aragon, Michael Weber, Simon Aronson, Jim Steinmeyer, Bob Neale, etc. understand and use this type of magic. Check out:
- Woody Aragon DVDs
- any (all) of the Impuzzibilities books
- any of the Steve Beam Semi-Automatic books
- One for the Money by Bill Goldman
- any of teh Bob Neale books
- subscribe to Real Secrets
etc.
