Self tying shoelace

Can you wear any shoes? Also, is it very easy? thanks

Any shoe with laces will work, for the most part. The 1980's springy laces probably wouldn't work well and the shoelaces do need to be long enough to actually tie in a traditional fashion.

Also, depending on your distance to the audience, you want to make sure they can SEE that the laces are tied once the trick is over. So as close-up, you can do almost any shoe... but for stage magic, I used white laces on black nike shoes so you could really see they were tied after the trick was performed.

Its super easy. The gimmick does all the work for you. Any shoe will work
