TCC Himber Wallet

I just bought this item and it seems to be a reasonably good construction. Everyone talks about a locking mechanism, but I don’t understand that. Could someone explain what the locking mechanism is? Because it seems pretty obvious that it opens from either side and the crisscross straps are very obvious. But is there a way that you can close it so it appears to be hinged on one side? I guess I just need to know what the locking mechanism is. Thanks.
