What is a "Billet"????

(I sent this in but didn't notice the "Question" line. Sorry!)

I read the first review about the "all seeing eye" - and I'm confused. I just do minimal card and "gimmick" tricks - easy stuff, as I just do one or two tricks impromptu for fun - I don't do shows, ever. Heck, some stuff I buy....when I can afford it, which is rarely (retired, disabled, fixed income - you get it)... just to see how they're done!

But one term is driving me nuts - what the heck is a "billet"? Never seen it in a book or instruction, online dictionaries, Wikipedia, Google searches - NOTHING! But it was in that review and now I've seen a couple other instances on the Penguin site...and I have no CLUE what it means in this context!

I'm going to buy All Seeing Eye because it sounds easy - AND is inexpensive (I've made the mistake of buying "easy" expensive tricks - that aren't easy and gathering dust!) - but I can''t afford to buy other referenced (or implied) "billet" tricks just to get a definition.

Can you help me without giving anything away? PLEASE?

Thanks - Jim
