Is there a demonstrated way to perform this without using any calculators?

The spectator must use a calculator in all versions. Wunderkind uses an app that is hidden with a calculator on the magician's phone. The calculator does the math for the magician making the routine extremely easy to do. You can perform this without the Wunderkind app. This has been the approach that has been used by many for many, many years.

Andreas explain briefly how to perform the effect without a calculator. But that is much more difficult to perform than the Wunderkind method. The whole point of Wunderkind is to make it easy for you.
