tricks are great however i have problems as joe is left handed,so i have to do everything in
reverse.but apart from that it's not bad just confusing.
I find rubber band magic to be ambidextrous. With Card magic, I am already used to holding cards in my left hand as I deal with my right because I have done that all my life. With rubber bands though, It is not really something embedded into memory so using either hand should not make a big difference "mechanically" but if you let it "mentally" get in your way, it will be harder.
OR - - Joe could be a decent guy & for the 95% of all magicians
who are NOT left handed, either shoot ALL his videos via a
mirror which will reverse the hands so the Left will appear RIGHT,
OR - simply take some time and demo these moves Right Handed, which
again, 95% of magicians are.
Lastly, if he really cared about his
customer base, he could also hire someone who IS right handed, and
simply talk them through it!
There, that's THREE obvious solutions, but
will he do any of them? Probably not. As I honestly don't think he
cares enough about his prospective customers. I bought his "Looper"
dvd and it drove me crazy how bad it was because
1. He tends to
RUSH though his explanations & also ignore how to "get into" a
set-up position & 2.
Again, he's catering to only 5% of the population. Lots of luck if you're NOT left handed!
It’s just like looking in the mirror and teaching yourself.
It’s really not a big deal for a rubber band trick.
You should try being left handed and learning guitar from right handed teachers, and reading right handed tablature.
Even that isn’t a big deal, once you decide to suck it up and deal with it.
If you really want to learn it you would. Don’t blame the instructor for being left handed.
