I have no doubt that Dan is a great source for information on what to charge for a given genre of
performance, but maybe there was too much information being poured out at once. I stopped and took
a couple of breaks and then did a rewind and went back to it. I wish I had this information 40
years ago when I was more actively performing for money, but now it is good information but more
than I can use. If you are starting out to be a full time performer or using magic to supplement
your income this will be good information to have to do that hardest of tasks, setting a price to
tell your perspective client.
3 stars for merely a ton/too much of info? I dont get it. I would consider it getting your money's worth at the very least
Dear Yelp,
My dinner was too yummy and they gave me so much of it I was stuffed and took home enough food for another meal. The food was so good I had to get up and walk away from the table a couple times. I expected to pay double, but instead, I paid half and got double. This is a travesty. 3 stars.

intresting concept to underscore a project for to much information that is valuable .....i give this review a one star ..
Nah, maybe too much info for you but not others. I also started almost 40 years ago and I had several of these book sets over the years, and I was the one who actually requested that these videos be made and no one else believed it was possible. But then when I saw they would be made I knew it would be a godsend, and a great visual reference to the books. It is up to you how much info you choose take in at a time, and there can never be "too much info" out there. The more that is available the better it is. Some like me practice, perform, and rehearse all day for a living and can never get enough. Even though you can only work on so much at a time the rest will be there waiting for you later on when you are ready. So that is a positive thing not a negative one. I probably have about 50,000 magic books now after almost 40 years of collecting, and I have not even come close to reading them all. But I am glad they are there waiting for me for when I am ready for them. But I have read a lot of them also. So it up each individual how much they choose to take in. Some do one book a year, or one video a month, or read all the books first, watch all the videos first, then go back. Some skip around, or do them in order. So giving this groundbreaking course 3 stars because there is "too much info" is ludicrous.
I really don't understand how somebody can say that there is TOO MUCH information. Dan's lessons are full of good information and never useless chat but 100% knowledge.
I have been doing magic for 55 yrs and I think that the Tarbell course of Dan Harlan is the greatest value you can find in magic videos. I respect Dan's great efforts doing his own homebrew gimmicks which are great help especially to younger magicians who cannot afford professional tricks. I have always made these myself too and it's great that somebody teaches the skills to younger people.
And, what is also great, is that Dan shows everything clearly and the videos have been made professionally well. Too many magic videos are poorly made and especially the audio is usually very bad but Dan's productions are of studio quality. Many cameras and good camera operators make these really affordable.
I would like to see more Dan's great lessons and I hope he'll start new serie. But this was so huge work that he probably needs a break.
