New and interesting peek, but not fan of the whole method. Report this review

Before I ordered this item, I hesitated because I don't like the methods where you put back the business card with the drawing or the word of the spectator, in the stack of the business cards. For me, it is not logical. I know, you can say : I put the business card in the stack so I cannot see what you wrote on this card. But, personnaly, when I saw such an action, I know that there will be a peek. Sometimes, I do not know how the peek is done, but I know that there will be a peek. I think perhaps as a magician, but even for lay people, I think it seems odd.

However I still ordered this item, because I thought the method allowed to be more logical, but it is not the case. And the suggestion of putting back the card in the stack, then putting the stack in an envelope is odder and is not a good idea. If you want to isolate a card with an envelope, you put the card directly in the enveloppe.

But if you don't mind of putting back the business card of the spectator in the stack of business cards, buy this item, I'm sure you will like the peek.

Hey Thanks for the review, sorry youre not the biggest fan!

Just a few pointers that might help if your interested at all.

Firstly I would never say "I put the business card in the stack so I cannot see what you wrote on this card". That's just putting heat on the card. I just extend my hand and the spectator puts the card where needed. Most of the time they want to give you the card so its not an issue. If you act like its a big deal so will they! Ive perfromed this 1000's of times and never had an issue, try it out first of all, I promise it will be fine as long as your confident.

In terms of it not being logical. Where else could they possibly put the card? In an ideal world their pocket but obviously not possible. Wheres the next logical place? The big stack of cards right under their nose. The fact the entire stack ends in there hands is very logical and deceptive.

Give it ago, I'm sure it will go well. If not contact me at hello@mindofmagic.co.uk and Ill happily give you your money back.

All the best!

I couldn't disagree more with what Christian has written. Unless you are using an ID, all full business card peeks that I know of, that do not require the card to be folded, are put back on or in the stack of business cards. With some the spectator's card goes on top of the stack, with others their card goes on the bottom, but with Underlooked, their card goes - and stays, in the middle of the stack. It looks completely fair and entirely logical.

If you use other full business card peeks and like them, Underlooked is a wonderful addition to the category, and in my mind an advance over other methods for several reasons: 1) the spectator's card goes in the middle of the stack and stays there; 2) the angles are excellent; 3) the peek is super easy to execute; and 4) the move is completely hidden and is highly deceptive.

Underlooked is one of the best full business card peeks I've ever learned. Well done, Arthur!
