I am a fan of John Bannon and especially like his books. "Destination Zero" is on my Top5 list.
Having read or seen almost all of his previous material, I found a lot of this back here. And it
was that kind of stuff that I wouldn't use.
So, it's not really bad, like with other real bad
magic videos, but you can feel that this is the leftover from a card guy that is ok to share with
other card guys. What's missing is the power of strong routines or the mind blowers. For example,
the effect in the trailer: When watching it, you don't really get the point of what is shown there.
It's a clever switch but the classic question remains: What is the effect about? I think it's just a
show-off of this clever switch.
Unfortunately most material lacks this magic ingredience which
blows the spectators mind. And when there is a nice effect, I can instantly think of a more
effective method.
Of course, if you are new to the Bannon material, you will find some
introductions to his approach of magic, but for that I wouldn't choose this video.
