it's fire. so it's hot, and it will take some serious time to build up both some technique and some boldness. don't practice near anything flammable.

Yes, it does get hot. Martin offered a solution for practicing to get more repetitions in when practicing: put the unit in the freezer. It will take longer to heat up. In performance, it’s meant to be done around 3 times, which is doable.
