"Disappointed" best describes my reaction after working with this prop for several days. The method
is not worth the trouble, the prop's construction makes it something I would not want to "carry
around," it cannot be examined and it is difficult to find a regular key that looks like the prop.
Yes, there are similar regular keys, but none that look LIKE the prop. This one will go into my
dust bin.
I can only say "ditto" to this review. I wasted $25, but that happens when we live in a world of deception. And ... to speak to Dan Harlan's "it would cost 6 to 8 times" what we charge if we supplied the extra key. BS! That would make the price $150 - $200! Are you kidding me? This will go in my "lessons learned" box as well.
Have you performed it for anyone yet? I have done it about 20 times now for people and not a single one of them has questioned the key missing teeth.. I have even put it in their hands and they didnt see the gimmick. Granted you cant let them hold it for long..
Funny thing is every time I perform this, THEY ALL THING I HAVE A STRING... I don't know why but several times Ive heard this now..
Just give it a try before you dismiss it..
Yes we should have gotten a dupe key and yes they could have all been cut..
BTW When I do find a matching key I will just use a file to cut it..
Also I would recommend cleaning the gimmick with Alcohol every so often.
