Yes, I like the effect, very much, but......!
As a new student of magic, I wish the reviews
would be more detailed, as to the level of proficiency required. No one stated you had to know
about swing cuts, "encanyo"? cuts, biddle counts, buckling a card and double undercutting, etc., to
do this trick. Except for buckling the card, which is pretty obvious, I don't have a clue what the
others are or how to do them, at this juncture. I would not have wasted my money on this effect
(and some others I have purchased) had I known about these required sleights beforehand. This is
definitely not an effect for a neophyte as myself. I would like to see all the reviews include
other's opinions as to experience level recommended, since Penguin doesn't provide this information.
I can definitely understand the frustration in spending money for something beyond your current ability. There's a time when everyone is new at something. Here's a little tip so that moving forward you can judge magic effects better before buying. Fact number one is- There is no REAL magic. Once we get that in our head we can break it down. If an effect is an instant download, then you can be certain that it requires some degree of skill and sleight of hand . From there, always read the reviews and hopefully someone will post something about the skill level. Not all is lost though if you spent 10 dollars to learn a secret. Someday you will have the capability to go back and pick it up again. Sometimes we buy something and then find out it's just not our style. This has happened to me too. 🎩
