The effect itself is good, but the video demonstrating the trick you see before you purchase it
leaves out an important piece of the handling. I would not have purchased it had I seen the full
effect as performed and not the edited version for the promotional video.
This is not to
say that the trick is bad, and it may work for many people, but I was expecting what was presented
in the promotional video and the actual trick you perform is not is not what is in the promotional
video as there are important handling pieces missing that greatly, in my opinion, changes the
overall effect.
Why do they do that , youd think putting out an honest trailer would help better sell your future effects , is it worth trashing your reputation to trick a handful of hobbyists , it makes one very skeptical on everything else he releases.... Sorry for the harsh review because I really like Rick Lax . Just wish the trailers were more upfront without giving anything away of course....
Rick commented on this on the magic cafe. He said that sometimes trailers have to be cut otherwise the magic community could possibly reverse engineer the trick. It’s still a good effect with the 2 parts, but had they shown both parts, people well versed in magic could probably figure it out and not buy the trick.
