Disappointed. I have the original and was very excited about the newest version.
Pluses:
Smaller housing as advertised (see note below); longer cable as advertised.
Minuses: 1. Not
comfortable with the Teflon cable. Probably fine but I do like the steel cable on the original. 2.
No extra bushing as advertised. In fact the bushing received on mine is half the size as the
bushing on the original. 3. Carabiner clip is locked closed on the extra end. Might be a plus for
others but I like it unmodified. 4. The buttons are painted on the new version but should be raised
rather than be flat on the housing. 5. The housing on this new one is smaller but the difference is
really negligible.
In my opinion if you bought the original don't buy the new version - unless
the longer cable appeals to you. The advertising on the differences is true but misleading. I was
really upset that the bushing was so much smaller rather than receiving an extra bushing as
advertised as noise can be an issue. Trick is still very good but I felt I was misled regarding the
old and new version.
