I love Mr. Osterlind and most of his work I find very helpful. This was not one of his better
teaching videos. It seems as if he does not do cold reading as much as he does some of the other
things that he teaches.
As a result of this, he misses one in the routine for the live audience
and the cold readings that he does are not as excellent as much of his other material.
If you
are looking for good/great material on cold reading I would suggest Luke J.'s work, both his four
volume set and his "Making Mentalism Look Real" DVD.
All in all this is not bad, but it should
have been tightened up because it feels as if Mr. Osterlind is wandering a bit at times. This is
not the best introduction to cold reading and while I think that there are some valuable tips, there
is much more available from some others.
Nothing bad, just not up to the usual excellence that I
have come to expect from Mr. Osterland.
I know this is an old review, but I wander what 4 DVD set you reference, because Luke put 2 different one on the market:
- Premise & Premonition 4 DVD Set
- Jermay's Mind 4 DVD Set
I'm confused becouse none of the above has cold reading mentioned in their description.
Instead the following product mention cold reading:
- Luke Jermay LIVE! by Luke Jermay & Marchand de Trucs 2 DVD set
- Luke Jermay Penguin Live Lecture
I will appreciate any feedback about Luke's cold reading material, thanks.
