This is a good trick. The gimmick is easy to make, the handling is well explained, and the effect
is very good.
HOWEVER, the gimmick won't work with Canadian bills, or almost any non-US
bills I've seen. Had I known this prior to purchase, I wouldn't have bought it.
If you're
in the US, or don't mind performing with US currency, this is worth picking up. If you're elsewhere
in the world, take a pass on this one.
Hmmm...the trick will work with any bills that are the same size. And even if bills are different sizes, you can make the bigger bills become the smaller bill.
But, yes, there is one extra 'show' that you can do if you use American 10s and a 20. That's for sure. But the video on Flom performing on product page...that one you can do with any bills of same size (or you can cut down bigger bills).
Still though, with this knowledge, if you can't make it happen, just let Customer Service know and we'll make this right.
Thanks for the reply, Rick. Thinking on what you said and watching Justin's demo I can see now how it would work for a larger variety of bills. Any bills that are made of paper are likely to work well, without the extra show you teach.
I've been playing with the concept a bit with Canadian currency, and although it *could* work in theory, I'm not confident that it will translate to practice. Our new polymer bills have some unique properties that greatly complicate things. In particular, they don't hold creases well, and their highly asymmetric design kind of breaks the first illusion presented to the spectator. I'll keep playing with it.
alter3d: Good point. If the bills don't crease, then the trick will not work.

I wanted to order this, but being in Ontario, it is getting harder and harder to find 'paper' bills. Everything is 'plastic' now. Really sucks! This looks like a great trick and by the sound of it, not hard to put together. However, as already said here, our plastic bills won't fold & crease.
Disappointed with a few tricks Rick Lax had made product videos of. However, this one is a homerun.
Will it work with bills that are different in color? i liked the trick but i would be using mexican currency, the bills not only are different in size but also in color.
thanks
