I suggest buying a treated Svengali or "Mirage Deck" from Penguin which is rough and smooth and then have a local printer with a precision paper cutter cut it diagonally. The Penguin Mirage Deck is one of my favorites and makes a great "Split Deck" effect and not as "slippery" in handling the two diagonally cut halves of the Robbins deck.
