I've seen a lot of linking ring sets and I needed a newer, larger set for a talent show in a few
months for my school. The rings look beautiful and sound beautiful. Unfortunately my key ring did
not have a key hole large enough to easily perform any routine. What I mean by that is that there
was a cut for it but there wasn't a hole. Interpret that how you want. I still love shopping at
Penguin Magic, but every once in a blue moon I'll stumble upon a bad product. I purchased this once
and it was no good. I returned it and got a replacement, but that set was just as bad. Maybe I just
struck unlucky twice, but this was a waste of my time and money. Bad product, wonderful website to
shop from.
had similar problem and just stretched the gap a little - it stayed and works perfectly !
Adjusting the gap to the size you are comfortable with is standard. I don't understand the issue.

You sound rather experienced, and you understand his issue just fine.
Keep in mind this young Mr. Lopez here was doing this for a talent show, not as a professional expert like I'm sure you are, and so perhaps he was unaware of the fact that one could simply adjust the ring gaps.
Furthermore, your response was blatantly unnecessary, since your advice was already provided (in a much friendlier way).
Thank you Deucefer for realizing some of us are new to magic or at least new to certain effects. I am just getting into performing the linking rings myself. I bought a cheap set to practice with and there was no gap. I figured it was just the cheap sets so it is nice to find out that is acceptable (and even expected I guess) to need to stretch the gap.
