The Sharpie BUG Writer is a great tool, super practical and works great. It's accessible when you need it, and is easy to manage. My only complaint is that I can't find refills for the bottle of Sharpie ink. I can only find cartridges. If anyone has a solution for this, please let me know. The bottle of ink does last a long time, however.

Hi Ron.
Have you tried the Super Sharpie? If so, how is this one compared to the SS, which I own but have a little difficulty writing with it.

For the price you are paying for this item, it should come with two refills. This is the reason I have not purchased it myself yet.

Hello, maybe you can use Pilot Super Color Permanent Marker Refill Ink, Xylene-Free, 1-Ounce Bottle with Dropper, Black Ink -48500, you can find this on amazon .

You can take apart a sharpie and squeeze the ink out of the cartridge. Sharpie does not sell it's ink by itself. I found this to be an ok solution

the difference between this and super sharpie.... The super sharpie is a self contained mechanism that is built within the actual sharpie. Which I'm assuming you know this since you said you have it but can't write very well with it....anyway way....the sharpie bug writer is essentially the same however, it isn't contained or hidden within anything.its something you would keep in a pocket or somewhere where you could obtain it discreetly....say putting an object away to your pocket and coming back out secretly with the bug writer....the best way for me to describe it without giving to much away ....is think of device that attaches to u with super sharpie to you...now imagine it being the color of your skin, more contoured to your thumb and having a much bigger and wider base. Think.... Th**b T*p cut in half And its stored as a makeshift lid to the ink pad. Making it always ready to write...and that being in your pocket or wherever... And when you need it, u put your hand there... And the apparatus easily attaches where it needs, it's steady, and it's sturdy. Writes much easier. And not so squiggly and like a 4 year old did it ;-) super sharpie has it's percs and it's pros. Since super sharpie is self contained. You don't need to focus on the choreography of your routine as much...as with bug writer you need a reason to go to your pocket, or misdirection etc....but overall I think writing with the bug writer is much easier. Some people have trouble keeping the device sticking.... Besides the stuff that comes with super sharpie.... Which is great... I'm not sure where to get refills of that.... But that new stuff that came out called "octopus" or something.... It's like this sticky lotion... It works GREAT in making it stick.
