This is a clever effect, but it's not all mentalism, and the trailer is quite misleading. At 1:30 in
the trailer you see what looks like the outcome of a card trick - without going into details, it
turns out this is a crucial part of the trick, and yet it's completely skipped over in the trailer -
they only show the final reveal.
I would not have bought this trick had I known this
required a card trick as part of the presentation.
Hi Anonymous,
There are plenty of ways to achieve this effect that are taught that do not require cards. If you understand the principle and have watched the full tutorial you would know this already. So I have to disagree with your comment here. You do not require a card trick to achieve this effect at all. I do use cards myself, and I made sure the cards were in the trailer also so as not to hide it.
You can achieve this same effect with a couple of business cards, a pen and some borrowed items or a borrowed book if you like the pure mentalism approach. So honestly, I do not understand your comment here, unless you didn't watch the whole tutorial?
Best,
Ben
