If you think you're going to spend $11 and be able to perform a light and heavy trick you are going to be very disappointed.

The materials required to make the gimmick for this trick are not easily obtained. They provide you with a link to a website where you can purchase the material needed and the material is only $5 but you are going to have to pay $26 in shipping to get it delivered anywhere in the US. I ended up tracking down a commercial supplier and was able to purchase the material from them for $15 (3 times more money) After obtaining the materials I made the gimmick which was relatively easy to construct. The gimmick does not work very well on any surface other than totally flat, crystal clear, completely flawless glass. I tried it on many different surfaces and it will stick for a second but then it lets go. If you do it on Flawless glass that is totally flat it will hold well enough to let the spectator give it a few short tugs. If the spectator decides to give it all they've got and really rip at it it is going to come up. After asking some questions on the discussion page for this trick, I was told that if I purchase the material from anyone other than the seller that they provided a link to then the gimmick will not work properly. I was told that many different companies sale a product that is similar to the one you need. I was told that the other retailers will even call it the exact same thing. But you should not purchase it from any other source than the one they provide you with because other free Taylor use different materials and there is no way to know for sure if you're getting the right product.

So now I have to decide if I want to spend another $30 (shipping and handling and the product) to see if the gimmick will work better if I use their supplier. The problem is I have no way of knowing whether the product that their supplier provides me with is going to work any better then the product I already have. I guess I'm not ready to take that gamble yet maybe one day in the future.

I was also unhappy with the quality of the explanation video. It is not in English and has subtitles. I have learned many Magic routines by reading subtitles but they usually will slowly explanation down enough that you can read the subtitles and watch what they're doing. The subtitles move very quickly and I had to constantly go back and replay sections. The handling also isn't explained very well but if you watch it a few times eventually you can figure it out.

To make this trick work you are going to need excellent audience management. At first, the Spectator will have a very hard time seeing the gimmick (because they won't know what they're looking for) However, if you let them handle the item long enough they are definitely going to find it. It hides better on some objects than others. For example you can probably get away with using a glass that is filled with a dark liquid (glass must have completely flat bottom). If you want to use a deck of cards, The Spectator cannot examine the deck after you make the deck "heavy" because with a little effort and just a few seconds they WILL find the gimmick.

I purchased this trick so I could use it with a Rubik's Cube (a Rubik's Cube clip is shown in the advertisement video)
IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS GIMMICK ON A RUBIK'S CUBE THE SPECTATOR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE RUBIK'S CUBE AT ALL!!!!
You can show the Rubik's Cube to The Spectator and even move the sides to show that it is real, but you cannot let the spectator examine the cube. You can set the cube in their hand for a second and you can let them try to pick it up off the table (which if the trick works they won't be able to) but you cannot let them turn any of the pieces or handle the cube after they try to pick it up off the table.

Another problem with using a Rubik's Cube is that in order for the gimmick to work you will have to use super glue to make one of the center tiles unremovable. For my Cube routine I use expensive high quality speed cubes. There is no way I am going 2 super glue one of my Center tiles which will prevent me from making adjustments to my cube in the future. In other words, You are going to have to get a cheap Cube that isn't going to match any of the other cubes that you use in your routine which will seem odd to the spectators.

Overall I am very upset with my purchase and will probably never use this trick. If you want to pay the $11 just to find out how it works but you have no intention of using it then feel free but if you are expecting to be able to use this and you don't have $11 to throw away don't waste your time.
