Learn all-important convincers, key presentational points, and the benefits of opening vs. closing with the OMNILOPE, as well as valuable tips about transitioning from magic to mentalism.
And thanks to the OMNILOPE's ingenious design, all of these incredible effects are accomplished without having to ask a single question or use any sleight-of-hand!
OMNILOPE is the perfect tool for every type of mentalist performance from stand-up and walkaround to corporate gigs and even street performances.
Jay also discusses in great detail the important subject of "revelations" and shares many examples while examining the psychological and theatrical virtues of each. Jay also analyzes the benefits of having the envelope examined BEFORE the effect vs. AFTER the effect.

THE EFFECTS 5/5 Some of the effects on the DVD are basically all the same. Picking pieces of paper and divining it is the basic effect for a lot of these tricks which basically gets boring after a while. Most of them are pretty good though. There are things with newspaper clippings, pieces of paper, foods, money, stamps, receipts, postcards, photographs etc. My FAVORITE effect from this entire DVD, Is one he teaches towards the end with a prediction envelope on the table and they remove a phone number from the envelope. when they call the number the prediction envelope on the table rings. I am going to close my show with this once I get a cell phone.
THE DVD 5/5 I loved how Jay didnt teach each individual effect in this DVD. he had a name for each trick, But he didnt really teach them. He went through the construction of the gimmick and how to perform the basic effect with magazine clippings, But that is about it. Then he went into shots with different uses of the omnilope and their advantages and disadvantages. These are mainly just ideas and tips to use with the omnilope. I dont think these were mainly made to use, Just to spark your creativity and get you thinking. Jay also tought everything that was needed to be tought in EXCRUTIATING detail! Nothing was left out. I already have about 3 ideas with this to try out.
THE ENVELOPES 4/5 The envelopes Jay provided along with this DVD are EXTREMELY thin. Think on the lines of loose-leaf paper. That is how thin they are about. Maybe a little thicker. But he does explain why they are so thin in the DVD. Plus, These are duplicates of the envelopes stamp collectors use so if you have a stamp collector in the audience, If they call out Those are the envelopes I use, It adds credibility to the effect. Plus, Jay tells you where to buy replacements for the envelopes.
OVERALL 5/5 Overall, I really enjoyed this DVD. Jay gave lots of bonus ideas and tricks and stuff in the DVD. He really made it worth having and buying. If you have a show or do a show, This is the perfect transition from a magic trick and a mentalism trick if you plan on going from magic to mentalism. I would suggest this to anybody doing stand up or set shows. If you keep these in a case they will stay fine so it doesent really matter if they are thin or not. Plus with other stuff in them it will be pretty thick. So yea, Thats my review. Thanks!
Excellent effect, very bad use of your money Report this review

I know the title is self contradictory, but bear with me. Omnilope is a fantastic utility tool, that you can use for a million of incredible effects. The set comes with a dvd with very good ideas about how to use the Omnilope, and some gimmicks. Not many gimmicks though - my copy had only 4 of them, and you will "consume" one for every variant you create. If you like Omnilope you'll need to purchase refills VERY soon.
In general, I love, love, LOVE Omnilope, and I used it several times to very good effect. So why the low rating and the "bad use of your money" bit in the title? Simple: if you want Omnilope, you do not need to purchase Omnilope, you simply need the dvd "Amazing Psychic Feats Anyone Can Perform" by Sankey. That dvd explains TWELVE effects and, lo and behold, one of them is Omnilope!! Sure there you only have the dvd, and you'll need to buy the gimmicks, but as I said above you'll need to buy those anyway if you get Omnilope. This being the case, the release of Omnilope as an independent item seems quite frankly like a gratuitous commercial move. Get Omnilope only if you really really feel you need extra ideas on to use with the tool - the Omnilope dvd does contain more handling suggestions than the "Amazing Psychic Feats". Otherwise, you are better off spending $20 for the 12 tricks (including Omnilope) of "Amazing Psychic Feats" rather than $25 for just Omnilope.
Its a tool. Report this review

This is pretty much what you think it is and I am not sure you need the DVD. Jay talks... ALLOT about the reasoning behind it and gives many ideas however they are just loose ideas. This is a tool. So you do not really see full routines as it is the same method and a one camera shot.
You do not see any of the routines performed for lay people but everything is covered in the handling and even switching if you want to. I give him points for putting in something for those that over think the need for such things.
I would want more envelopes since they are not something your local store would have in most places. While it was what I thought it was, it even easier in design. (although he does explain adding something which he felt was not needed by might help which was what I was thinking. I only mention this since you probably don't need this DVD if you already think you know what this is at the full price. but if you do as I did, and get it on Cool box, it is a good value of info . But at full price a few more envelopes would be nice. Most of the ideas are a take on the last idea since the method is the same. Predicting the total on a receipt is not really different than matching a selected stamp. Jay does try to figure out how to make them feel different and that is where the true magic is with this. It is a tool to use if you need appear to have a fair selection.

The more I see Jay Sankeys disks the more of a fan I am becoming.
This is really good, practical, easy, and fun. This is an effect that I really can see myself using. This is a utility idea with leaves you to your imagination to find so many possible usages.
I dont think you will go wrong with this item!
Extremely clever and deceptive Report this review

Like probably many of you did, I had an idea of what the secret would be. I was basically right, but it's a lot more deceptive than I imagined. The spectator can handle the entire envelope, as long as he's not looking directly at it. The ideal scenario is to have him handle it behind his back which is logical and consistent with mentalism feats. Jay even adds a tip, that while not necessary, perfects the illusion even more.
About 5 minutes worth of work is needed to make the gimmick. All you need is scotch tape, scissors, and a blank piece of paper. 4 envelopes are provided. I highly recommend this. The DVD is epic and full of good teaching, ideas, and sound advice.
Sankey at clear-headed best Report this review

There is nothing surprising about the secret to Omnilope.
There is nothing remarkable about the props.
If you bought this product hoping for such things, that's a shame.
I hope you then watch the DVD. The real value to this product is Jay's clear-headed thinking about prop management and how to extract the very best reactions from Omnilope.
As ever, there are a few very good ideas for routines too.
Well worth the purchase.
