I believe this item is more for intermediate to advanced cardmen who have been practicing a version
of the bottom for some time. Like so many other 'instructors' (not just in magic), this is a case of
someone doing something for so long, and having achieved great proficiency, they don't recall the
subtle challenges they struggled with when initially learning.
The approach, and how to
practice, is covered in the first three minutes. The rest of the video covers applications.
Any
subtleties or nuances, such as balancing and synchronizing the push off with the takeaway, things to
watch for, etc. are not addressed.
Again, I believe this is for people who have been working on
this slight, and will find it a relatively easy adaptation. Beginners would best be served by
looking at Jason England's video on the bottom, a far more comprehensive instruction, covering the
bottom from Erdnase on forward and the other resources Jason mentions therein.

I've tried a couple of different bottom deals, and this is by far the easiest and cleanest I've
found so far. He also gives some tips and practice ideas, so that's all very nice.
The
tricks are where I have a problem. A few of them are really brilliant, but many of them are just
carbon copies of one another, with just slight differences (e.x. spectator picks a number, or
spectator picks a card, and that's their number).
Some more variety in the tricks would
have been nice, as well as some more techniques for getting a card to the bottom in the first place.
Overall though, the bottom deal is solid, and has hundreds of applications. My friends
learned how to spot my old bottom deal, but with this one, they have yet to figure it out :)
