I think there are a few things that should be said to someone considering a purchase of this
gimmick... Firstly, it is VERY well made. You can tell a lot of work went into manufacturing it.
With that said, it is somewhat delicate. That's not to put it down though.. I think in order to
function in the way that it does, sacrifices had to be made. So when practicing throw a blanket on
the floor to lessen the blow to the coin WHEN it falls...and it fell A LOT for me at first..I think
I'm lucky I didn't permanently damage it on day 1. Also, it's not quite as "invisible" as I'd
hoped... I can't imagine it being made better really, but you need to understand the limitations of
using "B.A." up close and play with the best place to "do the dirt". Overall it's pretty effective
under the right lighting conditions, and is ESPECIALLY useful if you don't perform in a sport
coat/button down shirt/or vest... (otherwise I'd probably go with a topit of some sort).

A coin gimmick that can have many applications, in that it can be disappeared or appeared in plain
sight and that will be not perceived as a prop or gimmick.

I don't write reviews very often, but this is an exception. I am a 42 year old kid/family magician
that also does a fair share of restaurant work. Black Out is everything it claims to be. It truly
is the "thumb tip" for coin work. It's very easy to perform, so much so, that I did it "backwards
or wrong side out" and only my daughter, who knows the secret, caught it when I did the routine at
local Chick-Fil-A. Good magic is easy magic and this is truly good magic. I have to keep reminding
myself of how effective it was when I didn't the secret, because when I found out I thought "no
way"! I've never been caught and I don't like complex handling, I believe in concentrating on the
audience and focusing on them and the "story". This allows me to do just that. You won't be
disappointed!
