I was surprised that Glorpy was under $5 -- dirt cheap -- and I should have expected it to be worth
what I paid.
The gimmick wasn't adjusted correctly out of the box. I fixed it with a pair
of pliers, but the gimmicks was so thin and spindly, it wouldn't hold up even through one quick
performance.
I'll try to find a better quality Glorpy. In the meantime, this one's going
back to Penguin for a refund (and the company oughta be embarrassed for selling such an inferior
product).

I've used "Glorpy" some years ago and ordered one again. I never had any problems with my former
purchase. My problem was this: The "special" piece was not bent, and I had to try to do it myself
and have it bent correctly. In doing that process, the metal became soft, like happens when you
pre-bend a spoon. It became unusable. Penguin Magic did give me a credit, which I appreciated.

I use the Glorpy and purchase them from various manufactures. FIRST this Glorpy arrived without the
GIMMICK!(NOT Penguins fault of course) Penguin took care of it right away and sent me another one,
which came with the gimmick sticking out of the hankercheif rendering it useless. I didn't even
bother complaining about it to Penguin. I just "ate" the few dollars, chocking it up to "par for the
course" SO this particular GLORPY is garbage!

I for these for my kids and I had to bend the gimmick on each one to get it to work. However, Once I
got the custom bend in, they loved it.

I love Eugene Burger and Bill Malone's effects using the Glorpy. If you haven't seen these great
routines, I highly recommend them. Eugene uses it as a spirit scarf and Bill uses it for a comedy
routine called The Sex Test. You can come up with your own as well. A great item!

Good for kids....had to make adjustment on wire to make the gimmick work properly. Can’t beat the
price....again be a good storyteller when performing. I use the haunted key with this. First perform
with key moving in palm of hand and now put key on table and cover with Handkerchief
(Glorpy).....good clean fun

The Glorpy effect has been manufactured by a number of companies under a number of names. According
to Fun, Inc., this is the original version. This is another little effect that you can use in a
number of routines. You can use it by itself, you can add it to a card revelation effect (as Eugene
Burger does), you can present it as a "Casper the Friendly Ghost" trick or a demonic haunted cloth.
The principle behind it is ingenious, one of those simple ideas that makes you say "why didn't I
think of that?" It packs small but can be used in large venues if properly presented. The fabric
pattern on this prop is unique and lends itself to different scripting possibilities. Don't
underestimate the power of this little trick, as it can have a powerful effect on an audience,
especially close-up.
