While the cards themselves are good quality, as you'd expect from Bicycle-made decks, I was
disappointed in the ink. The description touted the "metallic gold" ink several times, and it was
the feature that got me to order the deck, because I typically like the more unique-looking decks
like Karnival Dead-Eyes or Dose. But IMHO the ink is not "metallic gold", it's orange and brown.
Plain, non-metallic orange and brown. I have other card sets with much more metallic and shiny
inks, and side by side there is just no comparison between the ink on this deck and
those.
So, if you like the design, by all means, go ahead and get these cards (and they do have some pretty nice designs). If you are intrigued by the thought of "metallic gold" cards though, don't bother. Did this review help you?
