I bought this a few weeks ago on e-bay, as it was out of stock most everywhere else.

Just a few minor things would make it even better for a future version 3.0

The reflective surface involved in the trick could be better adjusted to the sides and of better quality. It works fine, but it requires more attention at the way to handle it and the amount of time you can show it as empty. You need to keep moving.

It comes with a nice electronic board for the popcorn sound. However, it is not loud enough. It cost me 1,99$ at my favorite electronic store to buy a larger and more powerfull speaker (I bought a 0.2 Watts) and some skills with a solder iron to replace the speaker. Now the sound is loud enough so everyone in a medium size room can hear it fine. It was barely perceptible before. The bateries will probably not last as long, but that is easy to replace.

Everything else is nice and well built. It will last a long time given proper care.

I have been doing Popcorn 2.0 as an opener for 3 years at kids parties, and it is one of the best received and enjoyed tricks that I do. I use as much popcorn as possible, so that it literally flows out of the box, sometimes on to the laps of kids seated in front. Kids want to eat it, and usually do.

It does takes some prep, although a benefit there is that you invariably wind up eating popcorn while prepping it. It can leave a mess on your host's floor, but I never get a complaint, and pick up any popcorn pieces if the kids and host don't already. It does take up some space, about once every 2 years you will probably need to get a small amount popcorn seeds, for when you sprinkle 'magic' popcorn seeds into the box at the start of the trick. I found a nice popcorn themed bag at Dollar Tree that I leave it in on my stand, so kids are anticipating something.
