HD Thumb-tip by Alan Wong - Trick

Out of stock.

From the creative mind of Alan Wong comes an all new HD Thumb-tip.

Thumbtips aren't designed to be seen, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't look as close to your actual thumb as possible.

Therefore, Alan Wong's HD Thumbtip is a perfect solution; he has designed a thumbtip with painstaking detail to match the curves and contours of a real thumb. It works exactly like a normal thumbtip (one of magic's greatest secret gimmicks) but will remove some of the restrictions of keeping the tip hidden at all times.

I like the details on this thumb tip, it is allot bigger than vernet's standard thumb tip. It fits over my thumb all the way up to the joint that connects my thumb to my hand, which is also a +. But... they are also very thick. The border of the tip is cut in such a way its very visible from the side. That being said, the thumb tip is always a nightmare seen from the side. Proper handling makes this thing virtually undetectable.

And it's less than three bucks. Can't really be disappointed for that price.

Not bad! Report this review

For the price, this is by far the most "realistic" looking TT. There are no seems, and the detail and paint are amazing! However, the edge is just to thick. I know, I know, if used properly a bright green thumbtip should go undetected, but this is just to thick of an edge. If Alan Wong makes a second generation TT, a thinner edge is the ONLY improvement that needs to be made.

Biggers not always better! Report this review

These thumb tips are definitely "bigger" then other types on the market, and also slightly more detailed. For the price they are ok, but honestly these are a little to thick and not as soft as you might expect. If your comparing these to the "in your face" type penguin sells they are no comparison! But are better then the average thumb tips for sure

The BEST TT on the market Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 11th, 2014
I bought my first TT in 1965. Alan Wong's HD TT is the BEST on the market today.

It has greater depth than most, so the loads can be larger ( salt, silks, sponge balls, etc. ).

A+++

Nothing is "perfect" for everybody, but personally I think this is a great thumbtip. Report this review

Upon receiving this thumb tip, I was immediately impressed by the quality and obvious attention to detail that has gone into it. It even appears to have an actual thumbprint pattern on it.

As others have stated, it is quite thick. As to how that will affect the actual working of the tip in usage, I have yet to determine, as I have not used it in any performances, yet.

It appears to be even superior to the "Freddie Up" tips that came out a while back.

The color of the tip, to me, appears to me to be much better than the Vernet tips. At least to me, it appears much more natural and a closer match to my natural skin color. Very realistic indeed.

And like a goblin tip, it has an excellent capacity, as when it sits on my thumb, it goes all the way to the bottom of my thumb. Length measures 2 1/4 inches. A standard Vernet measures 1 and 7/8, and a goblin tip measures 2 and 3/8, so decide for yourself what you prefer. This tip falls somewhere between the Vernet standard tip and the goblin tip.
To each their own, but I really like this tip. I think I'll order a couple more for spares.

Even the detail on the nail is perfect. It even has that little half moon thingie that thumbnails have at the growing point of the nail.

The more I think about it, the more I like this thumbtip.

I don't have a problem with recommending this product.
Some may like it, some may not. Personally, I think it's great.

And it's under three bucks!! You can't beat that with a stick!

GREAT TT Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 22nd, 2014
Wow, this is incredible for the price!

It's incredbly well done (details) and matches my skin color almost perfectly (and I supposed it will matches any caucasian).

The other great thing about this is the fact that it's a bit bigger than usual, so you can stuff "more" or having no fear that will fall off (which I have sometimes even if it never happened to me.

The only reason I gave it four stars is because that the border is a bit too thick ( but not that much) and even then, maybe you'll like the fact that it's a bit thicker
