For the price, you get an excellent double shell.. I assume I can say that because it's in the ad copy :-). Anyway, the coins are high quality and will
Last a life time. Josh is very thorough On his teaching and goes over the steps 100%. The vanish of the last coin will take practice but it's worth it. The ad copy said he reached 5 routines, but I only saw him teach 2. over all it was worth the buy.

The effect is beautiful, it's not difficult to perform (especially if you are familiar with std 3F handling). The gimmick is durable (I've dropped it numerous times and it is still 110% fine). The instructions are clear and concise, which is always a win.

Josh goes over the subtleties and the last vanish - worth the price alone. Simply beautiful. He actually taught Triad Coins on the Penguin Lecture HOWEVER it was with a different gimmick, and it was simply beautiful to watch it develop from that to this.

You'll love it, and all that magic is packed into one coin.

On a scale from 1 (rank newbie) to 10 (pro) put me at a 3. I'm using the Kennedy half dollar version.

Joshua's video explicitly does point out that these can make noise (clicks) so he doesn't recommend performing in a silent setting. I concur. However, I have found that the production handling can be done fairly quietly with practice. The disappearing end does result in clicks.

As a newer magician, I found these very easy to use at a basic level, but recommend lots of practice to make all of the effects smoother. These are good enough that clumsy handling can easily pull off the effects in the accompanying video. But if you put in the time to get the handling smoother this set really produces awesome effects!

As my first purchase of this typic of gimmick I've found it trivial to some simpler sleights. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to a fellow dilettante as a great introduction to this type of equipment.

I'm having a lot of fun with this set of coins.They are made very well for the price. Great reactions. My favorite is "where did the coins go" ? Practiced with this set for about a day and pretty much had it down. I highly recommend joshua Jay's Triad coins.

Fantastic 3 coin vanish being as close to real magic than any coin trick I've ever seen before. Sure there has been vanishing coins before in the hands & other difficult slight of hand. This has to be among the #1 greatest & most easiest 3 coin vanishes of all time, thanks to Joshua Jays magical Einstein creative ability. I will be using this and practicing daily to create an idea I have of examining the coins before and after and ending clean without pocket or palminq! Just trying to think outside the box of EZ amazing magic with these fantastic Triad coins.

I love the Triad Coins. I have always been a purist at heart when it comes to coin work. I am a big fan of David Roth, so being able to perform extremely difficult, knuckle busting sleights without any gimmicks has always been a heavy plus in my repertoire with coin work. I love to practice the hard sleights. But I enjoy PERFORMING more than practice. And for practical and purely magical purposes, Joshua Jay’s Triad Coins are phenomenal. Excellent craftsmanship with the gimmicks. They are still not self-working gimmicks, which I like, but the gimmicks alone (if used properly) will allow you to focus on the mystical presentation more seriously (without any serious concerns as to the gimmick failing you—which they WON’T) rather than sweating whether or not you are performing a sleight correctly or not. Joshua Jay has never disappointed before...and he seems to be holding that level of excellence of his in high regards with these coins as well! Major Shazam!!

Normally Josh's stuff is great, but this over priced set of coins is not worth 60 bucks. Only a 16 minute video with terrible lighting and atrocious teaching. Go buy any other product by Josh but not this one. Also the coin quality I received was not that good. A lot of scratches. Definitely returning.
