I've been doing magic for just over 30 years. I had some shells in the past from Johnson but, regrettably I lost them. Having found myself needing one I ordered the expanded shell by Tango. I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen such a poorly ill fitted shell in my life! The depth of the shell was so shallow that it barely went over the edge of the coin and was conspicuous beyond belief. Tango....NEVER again!

Alot of these reviews are negative, but this is very good, especially for the price. If your going to use a shell every day for preforming, your probably gonna want to prob spend some money on a Johnson but if your a causal magician this works good enough, and looks real enough. Id recommend it.

They are milled from actual coin and just the rim is strecheched so there is very little blurring on the shell.
Goes well with a Super Expanded Shell. A amgician since I was 8 and 21 now, this is the shell I'll use form now on!

Don't waste your money on this shell. Very bad quality. It doesn't look like a normal coin. It looks fake. It's terrible! Not recommended.

This particular shell is stretched to much. Side by side with a normal half you will see a huge difference. Not worth the money. I purchased one can't use it, can't even sell it. It is that bad. Roy Kueppers makes a nice shell. Unfortunately Penguin is out of stock. My advice wait until they restock and purchase Roy's.

This shell is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It fits excellently over the US half dollars I have. With practice the shell can be handled just like a full coin. I highly recommend it for any specific coin routines that might benefit from a shell.

I thought tango would have produced a better shell, since this is their specialty! It doesn’t fit right and looks so shiny and fake. Never will I ever buy from tango again. I really wanted to buy from Roy Kueppers but penguin sold out unfortunately.
