I'm studying all of Eugene's work, and feel blessed to be able to do so. This, I hoped/thought, would be his "master work".
The four stars, rather than 5, has less to do with my expectation (which, to some extent was met) and more to do with the layout of the book.

I love and appreciate the work and love that Mr Hass put into this book. I'm not a fan of how the information was presented. I did not buy this for the methodology behind the effects, yet I wished more detail/better illustrations were presented. Elements of each piece (mostly method) were sped through, which made the reading experience confusing, and less-tham pleasant.

In my opinion, The Performance of Close Up Magic got the philosophical points, as well as the delightful (and POWERFUL) pieces across better. Nonetheless, I am hopeful for Final Secrets.

This is such an amazing concept, one that only Eugene Burger could think of. A book that is released after his death. I am about halfway through the book, but the ideas and the readability are wonderful! I have to admit, I did not know much about Eugene except that he has been big in magic forever before reading this book. Someone in my S.A.M. magic club suggested this book and I am extremely happy that he did! I love it. I never thought I would love all the mystery stuff that he does, but it is really cool! You won't be disappointed, and I do not do stage magic.

This book is well worth the purchase. I enjoyed it from cover to cover. Highly recommend it.
