Air Dice comes to revolutionize dice routines on stage or parlor conditions. A random selection of something using a die is like a little fun "game" that you can add to your show and keep the suspense until the end. However, a small die can't be examined by the entire audience, so that's why Gonçalo Gil and Gee Magic decided to release "Air Dice".

"Air Dice" is a tool with endless possibilities and have an enormous variety of routines. In the beginning you can show to your audience that it is indeed a regular die, showing all 6 sides.

Then, you can ask a spectator to throw the die on stage, or funnier you can throw it into the audience.

The gimmick allows the die to be thrown as much times as you want and the number 3 will never be rolled. With that in mind, you can imagine how many different things you can do with it; "Russian roulette", "bank night" and other elimination based routines. This is definitely an object attractive to children and adults that will bring, comedy and fun into your show.

With "Air Dice" you will be able to take your dice routines to another scale.

Very Poor Quality for price Report this review

Great idea, VERY, VERY poor materials, as I feared. At $80 it may be the biggest rip-off in magic. I knew it was way overpriced, but because of that, I expected top quality. Boy was I wrong.

I was hoping it was a heavier material. It is not. It is made of the same material and quality as a $3 beach ball. This will last as long as a beach ball would.

On top of this, he recommends you keep it inflated for a couple of days to stretch out the wrinkles. This means it takes up a lot of space since having it deflated will cause wrinkles.

It is also not the traditional forcing dice pattern. He uses a different pattern, and I am not sure why. This makes it easier to spot because the "normal" opposite sides on it do not add up to 7. (i.e. 1/5, 6/4).

I was excited about this and Next-day FedExed it to me for a large gig. Big disappointment.

Don't waste your money. If this was $30 for two, it would be a barely acceptable price for the quality (considering magic prices and that it is not a "new" idea. If it lasts a month without a leak, I will be surprised.

I just inflated mine and reviewed the instructions. First, these are not instructions but a general ideas for using the die. No detail and difficult to understand his “ideas” due to his broken English.
Penguin can do better to curate what they sell to the magic community. If it was my business, this would not have made the cut. Sorry!

Also see the first review (one star) from our friend in NC. I totally agree with that review.
In short, I paid $80 for a prop that I probably won’t use. If you buy this and use it, just hope it doesn’t pop. It’s Dollar Store quality.
