But being it's too "perfect," it brings it down, what kinda brick is perfectly square and red, with no holes or breaks or those little imperfections you find on bricks..anyways. ASIDE from not looking utterly real, audience never sees it coming, and they love/hate me for it, i show a real brick and switch it casually and than when caught off guard, throw it into the audience...aw, i love my job4 of 4 magicians found this helpful.

This foam brick looks like a brand new brick, so you might want to "wear it in" a little with some paint, but otherwise it's a great prop. If you keep a real brick in a bag with this, drop the bag so it can obviously be heard as heavy, then pull this out and keep it moving a little, folks will believe it's real. For the price, this is worth it.1 of 1 magicians found this helpful.

In this day and age when you're told in an advert that something resembles a certain item, you expect a degree of visual likeness. Make no mistake people - THIS ITEM DOES NOT RESEMBLE A BRICK AT ALL! It looks exactly like a foam sponge, which is what it is. Now being a Goshman product, one KNEW it would be made of a type of sponge - but one would expect some small effort to have been made to somehow make it brick-like. Perhaps in the shape? Or the way it is cut? Or in the exterior texture. NO. This looks like a sponge. I think if you pulled it out of a bag and hurled it at an audience member they would not so much as flinch! Nobody needs to dodge a SPONGE. This cost me $4 - it's hardly worth the postage and hassle to return. But Goshman should be ashamed of presenting it as in any way representing a brick.1 of 2 magicians found this helpful.

You can't beat this for the price! I use it for kids shows. I'll say: "Whoever can catch this brick can be my next volunteer." Then I take it with both hands and pretend it's heavy before throwing it into the audience.
I don't think anyone ever notices that it's "too perfect." It all happens too fast and it's for stand-up shows anyway (not close-up). Can't beat the Penguin price for this prop!!
