Linking Rings Greater Magic Teach In, DVD
Out of stock.
The first volume of The Greater Magic Video Library Teach-In sessions was met with rave reviews. This program continues in the same vein with an in-depth look at the ever popular Linking Rings. You'll find different variations --three-ring, five-ring, and eight-ring routines---all performed at the hands of the masters. See two different routines with three-rings, one by FISM award-winner Richard Ross and the other by the graceful, eloquent stage magician, Max Hapner. Jay Marshall shares his traditional quips, one-liners and comedy in his five-ring routine while Samuel Patrick Smith showcases the eight-ring routine,in a setting that involves children, but pleases adults as well. We've included vintage material from the original Greater Magic Video Library -- Ross's Performance -- in addition to new recordings -- from Hapner, Marshall, and Smith -- to complete this unparalleled teaching instruction on one of the hallmarks of magic.

I am a huge fan of this DVD and although all the presentations are not going to be ones you will use there is something here for the ring performer. I really like the Jay Marshal routine and the Sammy Smith routine. In fact I used the Smith routine for years as it is a great kids and family show routine. Well thought out with lots of laughs. I have since moved onto the Whit Haydn Comdey ring routine and have not changed back. This is however a well put together DVD that will teach you a lot about the linking rings and there are some very good routines. If you want a great kids show routine this is a recommended DVD.
Performances with little explanations Report this review

This dvd is not for any newbie! Explanations aren't thorough or complete; especially Jay Marshall, he explains/performs the explanation quicker than the performance segment...very disappointing. The routines are all good, but if you want a thorough, step by step explanation, look somewhere else.
