From reading the other comment about how noisy it is, I assumed this was "spring loaded" from bottom
shooting silk up, its not however- no spring and it is very silent upon release - The load being on
the back, and with flap drop down to release silk, it might achieves the same effect (maybe better)
product was carefully packed, but plexi glass had super glue stain damaged on 3 sides which
reflects on the mirror
I gave this to my 8-year old niece for Christmas. She's developed a keen interest in magic and was
wanting an attractive prop for her burgeoning magic act for Girl Scouts.
I wrapped it,
pre-loaded with a few flowers from Vernet's "flowers from fingertips" and silks with instructions
that I would perform the trick and then show her the secret.
Impressing an 8-year old
bright girl is harder than you might expect, but she thought it "SOOO COOOOOL!" Her parents and
grand parents were similarly impressed.
The prop is nicely made and with the exception of
the tape "hinge" will likely hold up for a long time. I did quiet the action by placing a couple of
small felt pads in the box's bottom, towards the front of the cube.
This is something I use pretty often for shows that I do. Its a great prop! Its attractive, its
visual, and kids (as do parents)really love it! The reason I took off a star is simply because its a
little noisy but that's nothing that can't be covered by music or talking. I recommend!
This is a nice prop. It is very easy to handle and the possibilities are endless with it. It is a
very nice way to produce silk or spring flowers, sponge balls or what ever else you can fit into it.
If you are a magician who likes silk magic this is a fun way to introduce them into the show.
