This video is loaded. Filled to the brim with coin magic, Jay Sankey gives the more than enough to work on for a long time. He goes over a variety of sleights that he has perfected over the years like H.P.C.C.P.H and the flying shuttle. My favorite coin routine of Sankey's has to be Mexican Jumping Coins. Some of the material will require work. Some is relatively easy. Overall you won't be disappointed.
This DVD is worth the price just for the entertaining performance of J. Sankey. Jay does a wonderful job teaching the different routines on this DVD. Jay's a crazy man.

Whether you are just starting out, or have been doing magic for years, this DVD will teach you pretty much everything you need to know about coin magic. Sankey goes into good detail on all of the moves, so it's easy to learn. Like all coin magic, it's going to take a fail amount of practice before you'll be able to do some of the better stuff but it's worth it. For some reason, Sankey feels the need to drop the F-Bomb a couple times. Just thought I'd let you know so you aren't taken off guard.

When I got this DVD, I was expecting it to be like a basic instructional on coin Magic. I was pretty wrong. I wasn't the most experienced and had a very hard time at first.
Like most of my reviews, this is where I talk about the material on it. Jay put together a very full visual guide of ORIGINAL coin magic. That's essentially what it is. It seems like he just wanted to get his thoughts down. But some of the segments to tricks are really short, some are pretty extensive. The most important thing to keep in mind though, is that this is hard stuff. THere is a lot of backpalming and pinching, even some classic palms. But it's very solid working material you will use!
Over all, I would suggest this if you want to learn more coin magic, not techniques. There are a few techniques taught, but not a lot. You should start with Sleight of Hand Secrets With Coins or Bobo's Modern Coin Magic.

Let me say right off the bat that this DVD is not for beginning coin magicians. Not that everything is difficult but most of it uses harder moves than the basics.
Several of the effects use a gimmick of some kind but most of them are impromptu. My favorite effects are:
"Mr. Clean Coins Across"- A visual coins across using only three coins
"Mexican Jumping Coins"- A three coins across that uses less coins than you think (if that makes sense)
"Messiah Coin Vanish"- A super clean coin vanish and appearance (you will do this ALL the time)
"No Jacket Required"- A four coins to pockets with a devious handling
The effects on this DVD aren't particularly hard, it's just getting used to the moves that's the challenge. So there are 35 routines and tricks on the DVD, most if not all you will like.
Then there's the bonus material. Over 30 minutes of it. This section consists of 9 effects that are add-ons to the original tape. Unfortunately, I only like three of them, but perhaps you will like more. These are my favorite:
"Camouflage"- A coin appearance with a built-in presentation
"Deja Vu"- A coin jumps from your pocket to your hand three times, each time more convincing than the last (you will need a certain gimmick for this)
"Delayed Reaction"- A very strange and startling Tenkai Pennies routine
Tons of "revolutionary" material to learn. This DVD has my highest recommendation.
