The Effect You display a large jar of peanut butter on one side of the stage and place a jar of jelly on the other side.
You place a black cover over each jar. After a few magic words you tell your spectators that the peanut butter and jelly have changed places.
The kids are naturally a bit skeptical... You really get them going by offering to repeat the miracle and return the jars to their original locations before you lift the covers!
The kids are ready to start a riot! They're unconvinced to say the least.
Until you lift off the covers and show that the change really did happen!
The Bonus Effect
As a special Penguins Only bonus, you'll receive an incredibly powerful routine that lets you take this effect to the next level.
You show both sides of two pieces of bread and place them fairly and cleanly in a brown paper bag. A spectator holds the bag the entire time you're performing The Peanut Butter and Jelly Illusion, and at the end of the routine they open the bag to find the two pieces of bread have magically transformed into a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich! |
What You Get
- The classic, commercial, audience-tested routine
- The new and improved equipment
- The ability to entertain a room full of crazy kids at a moments notice

Talk about a bummer... |

First off.. I was looking forward to this trick. I am a professional magician, and when I get stuck doing the kid show, I figured this would be a nice casual kid trick. Sigh.. I looked all over the place. I found it cheaper at other places, but figured "Hey! Penguin is giving away the free extra trick with the sandwich in the bag! I'll just pay a bit more and get the bonus!". Well.. bad idea. The trick in general is CHEAP! I saw all the reviews and figured it would look good. Yeah.. nope. The black things the cover it, horrible. A bendable deformed rubbery material. If in your case wrong, will be shaped and be.. too tight. Which, for this trick, is bad! Mine never worked right. It was slightly misshaped the whole time. Plus, the lids on the peanut butter are made of rubber and dont look the same. Plus, you have to glue them or they come off. And to top it off, penguin doesn't give you the trick until you email them about it. And when they do, its not the version seen in the video! That's what made me upset the most. So don't bother with this trick. I just ended up making my own version instead! So much better. You can use real peanut butter jars.

Great for kids show, and the added tip on the sandwich finale that you'll find in the forum makes it even better. Recommended!

Really fun trick. Just be careful, if you have small hands it might be a little tricky, and the peanut butter jars look fake, but other than that. awesome.

If you do kids' shows, you MUST have PB&J! Who CARES if the method is easily worked out by adults? It's the kids' laughter and screams of delight that make this a top-notch winner! And for Pete's sake, folks, what's the big deal about supplying your own jelly, especially when you've paid Penguin an AMAZINGLY low price for the trick? (TIP: Empty the jars of jelly, wash and dry them thoroughly, and stuff with black trash bags. Looks like jelly from a very short distance, and no chance of opening your case one day to find a sticky mess!)

I did buy the PB&J illusion, but I donīt think itīs worth the money, were bad quality, looks were cheap, and you donīt get the Jam jar have to buy it extra. Its a good trick, and the bouns trick is good, but the quality is not.
