All I can say is WOW! Jeff is an amazing teacher combining his years of experiences, quick wit and
light hearted sense of humor into a presentation that was not only informative but FUN to watch.
Having studied with Jeff in Las Vegas I’m a little biased, but Jeff is one of magic’s best teachers
because he understands what magic is supposed to be. He covers a lot of real world, time tested
material that works. During this near 2 and a half hour event he teaches 12 killer effects, and
several full routines including:
-2 different Card productions
- Card spinning
-Best Ever Knots Off Silk
-Cardini’s Serpent Silk
-The Waltzing Matilda (a
simple one person animated silk)
-Why a squeaker needs to be in your repertoire
of Liberation- a spectacular mini illusion with a powerful message that you can take anywhere
Paper Flower Production (it looks real, the best of its kind I have seen)
-Double Shot (the
production of 2 shot glasses)
-The Japanese Butterfly Trick
-The Single Dancing Cane
However this lecture is more than just tricks, Jeff shares stories, talks about magic theory,
and shows you his commando show, a full 40 minute stage show that fits into an eyeglass case! Just
his talk on routing and making you magic bigger is worth the price of this video. If you want to
learn from one of magic’s best, then join Jeff McBride at the table.

CARDINI'S SERPENT SILK- a knotted silk unties itself in a
Now you can learn " The Cardini way" and it uses no reel!
MATILDA- DANCING HANK- very practical, with no threads, for parlor or stage.
SILK- one of my favorite stage and parlor effects. Knots are realistically tied, then come off the
silk, leaving large holes in the silk..great laughs!
REALISTIC BLOOMING BRANCH-PAPER FLOWER
PRODUCTION- I am proud to say that I no longer need an expensive blooming bush..this look more
organic and less mechanical!
THE JAPANESE FLOATING BUTTERFLIES- A classic of Asian magic. I
was taught this hypnotic effect while on tour in Japan.
You can use it Close up or stage! It
fills the stage with color , movement and magic!
DOUBLE SHOT GLASS PRODUCTION- based on
Eugene Burger's SHOT GLASS SURPRISE,.
2 glasses of liquid are produced from a borrowed napkin,
THE DANCING LIGHT CANE-MY SOLUTION TO THE DANCING CANE!- I used this routine for
years as an opener and closer. It gets attention and puts your audience in a trance!
It is Very
practical and can close a show!
THE RITUAL OF LIBERATION BEAD AND STRING MYSTERY- a string
suddenly penetrates a participants finger. The use of magic & meaning with a metaphor for freedom.
TORN AND RESTORED BILL:
For many this will be the 1st time they learn this classic. I
perform it almost every time I share impromptu magic. My version needs no preparation..you will
always have a miracle in your pocket!
CARD SPINNING & MANIPULATIONS FOR PARLOR
2 UNIQUE CARD PRODUCTION FOR PARLOR OR STAGE- as used in my stage and parlor shows for

Following is James Conti's Review:
McBride came to At The Table for two weeks in a row. The first week (reviewed here) was filmed in
the Murphy's ATT studio, whereas week 2 was filmed at the Magic and Mystery School (see the second
During this lecture, Jeff gives you some extremely valuable
insight into creating and putting together an act. He gives you a sample act and from there, you can
take the routines taught and place them into your own act. There is a lovely "knots off silk"
routine (with an extra variation taught), a card manipulation opener and a paper swarm of
butterflies routine with a fan. Each effect is covered in detail, and he always gave extra
variations and versions of the effects.
A few other effects taught were:
Distance Spinner Variation - this simple prop that is often overlooked can be used to speed up your
long distance spinner. I discovered that it also gives you more accuracy too.
Floating cane -
Jeff taught his floating cane routine which uses a light up cane whilst the lights are dimmed. The
routine is incredible to witness, and Jeff's theory on this routine is very valuable.
restored bill - Jeff taught a really nice impromptu torn and restored bill with two phases. It is
completely impromptu and can be done with a borrowed bill. This would be great to perform for a
cashier when you get change back from a purchase.
A few more card manipulation moves were taught
as well :)
Jeff's insight and advice is invaluable. During this lecture, Jeff gave so
much away, and feel like I have become a better magician after watching this lecture. I honestly
believe that. This lecture is definitely worth your time. 10/10

This is a fantastic lecture, so much is taught on this DVD. Including a full 30-45 minute show that
fits into a glasses case. Good mixture of close up and stage/parlour. Recommended!
