"It is very rare that I see a magic prop and immediately know that it has a place in my arsenal without question. The only thing I don't like about the executive clip is that it makes the rest of my mentalism look bad by comparison." -Spidey

"I am upset that I didn't think of it. This really is clever, and a step forward in my humble opinion. The fact that the item (billet, bill, etc) can be shown freely before clipping it in the clip is truly something special. I am a big fan of the executive clip; you will be too." -Sean Fields

"It never fails to get a tremendous response." -Bill Abbott

"This was my best purchase at MAGIC Live this year and I have already thrown out all of my old Ostin Clips. Add this device to your arsenal. You won’t regret it." -Master Payne, MUM Magazine review

"I've used it in over 1,000 shows and it has NEVER failed." -Chris Funk

The Executive Clip is the ONLY way to switch a dollar bill, playing card, or small object. No other device is as versatile, clean or reliable than The Executive Clip.

Professionals need a device that looks innocent and that is guaranteed to work. Chris Funk has been performing different versions of bill to impossible location for years. Perfecting the performance and method for maximum impact. The Executive Clip is the direct result of searching for the most reliable and most deceptive method. After thousands of performances the perfect method finally exists.

The Executive Clip
-Reliable
-Can be shown freely
-Perform close-up and stage
-Works with dollar bill, playing cards, and any similar item
-Looks like an ordinary object

History of the Executive Clip

The history of our art matters so we feel it is necessary to mention the giants in our field.Chris has created a great idea which is different to other popular switching devices but it is important to mention the others who have created and popularized the original idea.
The idea of using a bulldog clip to switch a billet or bill is not new. This gimmick was invented by Bob Ostin in 1953 and marketed by Davenports as “Bob Ostin's Dice Prediction,”
The original idea of hanging the clip in a large jar was created by Bob Fillman and popularized by Ed Fowler with his 200 to 1 routine.
Others who have worked on the original Ostin clip idea are John Riggs, David Harkey, Steve Dusheck and many more.

Good, if you're into DIY Report this review

This is a utility item with a lot of great possibilities. The only shortcoming, in my mind, is that the fabrication of the gimmick is left up to us. It's a simple matter to do, but for the money, it should have been done by the seller.

That being said, it's a great gimmick that can help you do a lot of near miracles, so long as you know you have an arts and crafts project ahead of you when you buy it (an easy one, but still). Go beyond the usual effects that are possible with this, and you'll have a winner!

Great Device, Requires a lot of DIY Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on November 5th, 2017
I will start with the good. This device works great once you build it (that's right you have to build it). It fools everyone I have used it on and I use it on a regular basis while street performing on Fremont in Vegas. It gets an awesome reaction.

The only downside is you have to build the device and it is not easy to do. Took me a couple of hours and multiple attempts to get it just right. I wish they had charged double and sent it out complete.

In my opinion it is worth $80.00 sent out complete. If it had come assembled I would have given it a 5 star.

Executive Clip - Pros and Slight Cons Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 28th, 2017
Great concept but got to agree with many other comments; the gimmick should come pre-installed. For me there wasn't quite enough tape and installation can be tricky. And agree, it won't pass inspection. My bigger issue, though, is the noise. Depending on the choice of item you plan to switch out, the gimmick can make quite a bit of sound. Squeezing softly reduces the problem, but runs the risk of an incomplete vanish.

Closing my act! Report this review

This is more of a personal message to Chris than anything. I'm so grateful that this piece has been released by you. The workings, the details the way it's displayed, shows that you have been working with this for years.

I kind of like that there is a bit of DIY in it. It prevents the hobbyists from just taking this "easy to do" gimmick and performing it right away.

Magic takes practice, scripting, and rehearsing and now that I've invested the time to play with the gimmick, it works perfectly for me.

for those reviews that say the gimmick doesn't work every single time, all I can say is that you had put it together "backwards".

Caution Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on November 4th, 2018
This is an outstanding effect and the gimmick is extremely clever and very well made, however, I have a word of caution. I cannot use this the way I had imagined. This is due to a wrong assumption I made but I want to offer a word of caution in case you are thinking the same thing I was thinking.

When I saw the video I saw a dollar bill folded in front of a spectator and then placed in the clip. That is the dollar bill that gets switched out. I wrongly assumed that I could have a borrowed spectator's bill folded and inserted in the clip for a switch. But you cannot do that.

The bill that goes into the clip has to be prepared in a certain manner before hand. So I couldn't use it for the purpose in which I bought it. So just be aware of this.

That being said, now that I have it I will utilized it in the way Chris describes in his performance. For that purpose it is still an extremely powerful effect. I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't mention anywhere about this limitation.

Executive Clip by Chris Funk Report this review

I love this!!! What a great item! It really does work as well as it looks. Perfect for Card to Impossible Location, the location being a card that has been clipped and hanging in full view the entire time. This prop will allow you to switch one folded card for another (or any folded paper item) and you can show your hands empty afterwards. And you NEVER have to touch the card! It's as clean as it could be. Totally worth the purchase!

The Final Answer Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on May 6th, 2018
Perhaps, the final answer in Ostin clips for the working professional. Advantages include being able to show the clip empty beforehand. Also, the ability to show the (bill, card, prediction) in its unfolded state before folding and inserting it into the clip. Nothing to ever break or wear out and fail you during performance which makes this the ultimate rendition in my professional opinion. Comes very highly recommended!

Exceptional Executive Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on March 9th, 2018
I've worked with a variety of switching clips, the Executive Clip by Chris Funk is the best. There is no elastic to break. It is easy to switch the gimmick to new items without disassembly. There is no degrading the switch through use. You can literally put the item into the clip during the performance, if you choose. And the speed of the switch exceeds all other clips. I've used them all for a billet switch at the end of my act which is a call back to something earlier in the show. With the Executive Clip, I can add the billet to the clip early in the show, which adds the extra punch when what is written on it is revealed at the end. It is truly the Ostin Clip to an all new level.
