Evaporation - A Totally New Way to Vanish Liquid"
What Evaporation Does:
At any point in your show, you pick up a bottle of juice that's been sitting on the table and pour it into a hat, cup, newspaper, your closed fist, or some other container and the juice disappears! Or better yet the juice changes to something else!
What You Get:
You get the Evaporation gimmick, DVD and printed instructions. The Evaporation gimmick is available in orange juice bottles, and the DVD teaches you how to use your gimmick along with many ways to use Evaporation.

Great Concept, not well constructed Report this review

The idea for this trick is fantastic! The big problem that I had is twofold - first, the container leaked. The hot glue used to attach the gimmick to the bottle does not allow for flexibility of the bottle. Second, for some reason, I do not have the lung capacity to "set up" the trick. I had to devise an alternate method that is not as convenient. I cannot imagine that I am the only one that has an issue with this. I just can't do it! I re-did the seal of the gimmick with silicone and it seems to be holding up much better...we will see.
Very Clever... Report this review

As others have commented, the peinciple is very clever. Unless you own a copy of Sam Sharp's Conjuror's Hydraulic & Pneumatic Secrets, you won't have a clue how this works. Without tipping the secret I think it's safe to say it uses a displacement device. This device only costs pennies but the work into affixing it to the bottle took some time. The only drawback is that you're stuck with using the flavor you receive, in my case orange. I may try my hand at gaffing a Coke bottle with a device like this, as that is my prefered drink. I also like the Ghost Bottle, which uses a completely different method, but does use a Coke Bottle.

I did not follow the advice of buying for need not to learnt he secret and now this prop will sit a while before I find a use. Despite all the claims, it not any better than any other product that makes liquid vanish for the most part.
You will most likely like the method but if you dont have a routine in mind you would be doing this utility disservice. The Sunny D aspect is what makes it limiting. I checked around and my stores dont sell Dunny D in that bottle shape. Not sure why. It is not as familiar in my area so seems a bit cheap and out of place. He designed it it for his show and style.
As for the method and the prop. It works and is effective but not sure how long it will hold up. IT WILL TAKE PRACTICE to make natural. He pours too fast. The DVD is nice but low quality and runs through some ideas but for many if you just did it as stand alone will telegraph the prop as the key. Its strength is its put in case and go to show compared to other vanishing props. But it lacks a spout at the end and thus you must cheat the angles or give it away. A pitcher has the spout which can help the illusion allot. Where as all this pouring that much liquid in the hand is a bit silly and unnatural. the audience can sense something is off. Another advantage is that you could by this once and will learn how you can do other props that might fit your style. His idea for Ghost bottle does not work well at all due to the laws of physics and he does not get it to work proper on his demo either. Buy it if you know what routine is in, Dont buy it if you just want to know how it works.

Well I was actually very surprised after purchasing Evaporation . The method was so simple yet , SOOOOO effective . It looked more real than any other bottle in the world ! Yup as mentioned by another comment , this trick only cost a few dollars to make . However , what makes it good about this magic trick is the thought that goes into it . I am very pleased with this . Reaction is very strong ( as what I expected ) . Good work guys and keep it up .
Clever idea, but... Report this review

This is a clever idea and would have loads of handling benefits but the gimmick failed during the first rehearsal. If I could attribute that to a single faulty gimmick, that would be different, but - without revealing the gimmick - I was not surprised that it failed. Happily, Penguin was extemely helpful in resoving my problem and - as always - I appreciate their excellent service. Again, clever idea but I can't imagine being able to rely on this prop.
